Measuring More than Size
Already singing the song, too?
If not, it's the first line from the song "Seasons of Love" from the amazing Broadway Show, Rent. The question in the song is asking how do you measure a year in the life? There are countless beautiful ways they sing about -
"in daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee, in inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife".
You know what thing they NEVER mention in the song?
"Measure in hip size or waist size or any size at all."
Because that would be stupid. It's not catchy and it's not true. But we still do it.
Because we want to fit in a certain size?
You are, like, the only person that sees that label.
So quit it.
Easier said than done, I know.
And I understand the irony that this blog post is relating to offering up free measuring tapes. BUT we are not offering up the measuring tapes because we want to measure good, powerful women by a number. It is 100% exactly NOT about size.
It's about making sure your clothes fit you.
Clothes are made of fabric and thread and buttons and zippers.
You are made of a brain and a heart and dreams and strengths.
You > clothes.
Make sure your clothes fit you by entering in your size to get your perfect fit. We are offering free measuring tapes because we believe in the power of clothes that fit. And not like, you have to pay shipping and handling free, but like free, free. We believe in it that much.
Because remember what the song is called?
Seasons of Love.
And it ends with, "measure your life in love".
Stand tall loves,
